Let's Share the Sun
Meet our 2025 volunteers
Wood Mackenzie has been providing support to Let's Share the Sun charity since 2021. Since then, we have sent WoodMackers to the region to install solar panels and energy storage systems on houses destroyed and impacted by Hurricane Katrina and a women's shelter that provides safe housing for survivors of domestic violence.
We are now proud to present our 2025 volunteers and share a small insight into why they're heading for Puerto Rico in March.

Luke Lewandowski, VP, Global Renewables Research
I’m very inspired, motivated, and humbled to have the opportunity to continue our impactful engagement with Let's Share the Sun. Now in the initiative’s third year, the positive and lasting impact our shared WoodMac commitment has in transforming the way these recipients power their lives brings joy, pride, and fulfilment to everyone involved.

Nadia Churton, Customer Organisation, Product Specialist, Perth
I’m thrilled and honoured to be selected as part of the team for Let's Share the Sun 2025. I truly admire how WoodMac is giving back to the community while staying aligned with its corporate goals of transforming the way we power our planet and supporting those who need it the most. I’m genuinely excited to contribute my time and efforts to this amazing cause, engaging in hands-on activities and assisting the community in Puerto Rico.

George Colleran, UCM, Edinburgh
I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to volunteer with Let’s Share the Sun. It’s a chance to make a meaningful impact to the people of Adjuntas, while experiencing the culture and beauty of Puerto Rico. I’m also looking forward to meeting and collaborating with colleagues from around the world, strengthening connections, and sharing this rewarding experience together. I really value the culture at Wood Mackenzie and have always tried to do my bit. I’m also hoping that I can help promote our internal Thrive initiatives; particularly, the benefits they can bring to ourselves and our communities.

Beth Lyon, Marketing, Edinburgh
I’m extremely excited to take part in this fantastic initiative, that truly embodies our brand’s purpose of ‘transforming the way we power our planet’. Reliable and clean energy is something many of us, including myself, can take for granted. Taking part in this trip will allow me to see first-hand the transformative impact energy security and access have on communities who may not have the luxury.

Juliana Teixeira, UCM, Rio de Janeiro
I’m very happy to be part of the LSTS delegation in Puerto Rico this year. I’m looking forward to spending my time and energy supporting local communities. Coming from a developing country like Brazil, I know how valuable it is to receive help getting access to very basic things. I think this opportunity is transformational in so many ways and it's very aligned with my personal values. This will also allow me to get to know other WoodMackers in person, building a true community to spread the seed to our colleagues, families and friends.

Mariana Russo, Customer Support, Mexico City
I’m always eager to learn and grow through new experiences. This trip represents a chance to not only expand my horizons but also to connect with incredible people and grow both personally and professionally. I applied because I believe in the value of learning from diverse perspectives, and I’m excited to contribute my own experiences while gaining new insights. I can't wait to embark on this journey and make the most of everything it has to offer.
