Daniel has worked in the energy industry for over 20 years, and for over ten of them has focused on supporting clients in infrastructure M&A transactions and project finance processes, spanning natural gas, LNG, oil products, biofuels and petrochemicals across five continents.
Daniel’s recent engagements have included acting as commercial and regulatory adviser to a bidder in the sale of Adriatic LNG; and most recently supporting a prospective bidder with preparatory work in relation to the Grain LNG terminal. He has also acted as a Lenders’ adviser during project finance processes for the Papua LNG and Freeport LNG liquefaction plants and the HEH Stade LNG import terminal, and in financing processes involving the NEXUS gas pipeline in the USA and the Deutsche ReGas LNG import terminal in Germany.
Beyond gas and LNG, Daniel has acted as commercial adviser in DWS’s successful acquisition of the biofuel producer, Vertex Energy, and he has supported buy-side and sell-side clients in transactions involving bulk liquid storage terminals in Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie in February 2025, Daniel worked in similar roles at Gas Strategies and Nexant.
