October TTF prices settled around $11.6/mmbtu, with inter-basin arbitrage still open. However, maintenance at Norway’s gas plants, including a 52 million m³/day capacity cut at Kollsnes until 17 Sep, and Nyhamna’s restricted output from 7-10 Sep, is impacting production. Additionally, reduced deliveries from Algeria through the Mazara interconnection in Sicily have tightened European gas supply, creating a tighter balance week-on-week. Despite these supply issues, high storage levels and warm weather have kept demand stable, though competition for winter gas may rise, especially with lower shipping costs making US cargoes more appealing to Asia.
