Report summary
The accompanying analysis considers production of copper in concentrate and copper cathode at El Soldado. Production from the El Soldado underground mine ceased in 2011 with all subsequent production from the El Cobre sulphide concentrator being sourced from open-pit mining. A major fault system exists that imposes material constraints on existing mine planning and which poses significant rock mechanics problems in exploiting the resource.
