Report summary
Operated by Talison Lithium, Greenbushes Tailings is a lithium mineral project located in Western Australia. Designed as a stand-alone operation, this project aims to rework old tantalum processing tailings at the Greenbushes mine site to produce 280ktpy of 6.0% Li2O chemical grade spodumene concentrate at a dedicated processing plant over a 5-year project life. Construction was completed in early 2022 with first production achieved in February 2022. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
