Report summary
Mowana is an open pit mine. From 2009 to 2014 the mine had a very high stripping ratio averaging 20:1. Plant capacity steadily increased and reached 1.4 Mt/a by 2017. The operation was suspended in 2015, and restarted again in 2017, with this analysis based on commercial production declared from mid-2018. By the end of 2018, the mine had once again been suspended pending resolution of funding issues.
