Report summary
Production commenced at the Ramu River nickel-cobalt mine in Q1 2012. The first shipment of mixed hydroxide product (MHP) into China occurred in November 2012. Ramu is currently the only HPAL plant operating consistently at above nameplate capacity. Production is predominantly shipped to China for final processing. MCC has recently constructed a dedicated refinery to process part of the MHP from Ramu at Caofeidian.
