Report summary
Aspen (GC 243) is a small oil and associated gas field located in the Green Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. Aspen has been developed as a four-well subsea tie-back to the Fieldwood-operated Bullwinkle platform in Block GC 65. Although the field is in terminal decline, it is still producing from two of its four wells at relatively steady rates. Wood Mackenzie assumes that no further development work will occur at Aspen and production will cease at the end of 2023.
