The Barossa Area is located in the Bonaparte Basin, approximately 300 km north of Darwin. The Barossa Area contains two gas/condensate fields Barossa and Caldita. The Barossa project will send its gas to Darwin LNG (DLNG). The Barossa to DLNG development was approved by NOPSEMA in March 2018. DLNG is a single train 3.7 mmtpa plant in the Northern Territory, Australia. It is currently being supplied by the Bayu-Undan field which is due to cease LNG production at the end of 2023.
