Embla is an oil and gas field south of the Ekofisk Area in the southern part of the Norwegian North Sea. The field was discovered in 1988 and production started in 1993. It has been developed with an unmanned wellhead platform tied back to the Eldfisk field. Embla was the first high pressure/high temperature (HP/HT) development in the area.
