Everest is a large gas and condensate field in the Central North Sea. Producing since 1993, it was developed in conjunction with the nearby Lomond field. Everest uses two bridge-linked steel platforms. The North Everest platform houses the drilling, processing and compression equipment, while the other platform is the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) riser.The South Everest area started production in 2001 and includes two wells tied back to the CATS riser platform.
