Statpipe was the first main gas gathering system built to take gas from fields in the Norwegian northern North Sea. The pipeline was constructed in four zones: Zones 1 and 2 incorporated the wet gas portion of the system from Statfjord to Kårstø; Zone 3 was the Kårstø terminal; and Zone 4 consisted of the dry gas lines from Heimdal and Kårstø to Draupner and Ekofisk.
