Report summary
The Manantiales Behr and Restinga Alí blocks are located on the northern flank of the San Jorge Basin. Both are mature fields undergoing an intensive development drilling and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) programme. The Manantiales Behr and Restinga Alí fields are both located on the northern flank of the San Jorge Basin and are collectively known as the Flanco Norte fields. Like the rest of the San Jorge Basin, the fields are old and mature. The fields produce from three separate horizons in the Cretaceous-age Chubut Group. From top to bottom these are the Trebol, Comodoro Rivadavia, and Mina del Carmen. As with other fields in the San Jorge Basin, Manantiales Behr and Restinga Alí are made up of numerous fault blocks and intensive infill and stepout drilling are essential to moderating production decline rates.
