The offshore Natuna Sea Block A (NSBA) supplies gas to Singapore via the West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS). The largest field on the block - Anoa - was initially brought onstream as an oil field in 1990; gas sales started in 2001. Following a 20-year licence extension in 2009, other fields - Gajah Baru, Naga, Pelikan, Bison, Iguana, and Gajah Puteri - were brought onstream in phases via platform wells and subsea tiebacks. The startup of these fields, and ongoing drilling at the Anoa field, sustained gas sales above 200 mmcfd in the decade between 2012-2021. Gas is supplied under contract to Singapore buyer SembGas. Liquids are piped to the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Anoa Natuna prior to export via shuttle tankers.
