Report summary
The terminal at Nigg Bay was built in 1979 to accept Beatrice crude via pipeline, following government refusal to sanction offshore loading. The terminal now receives no throughput and is in the early phases of decommissioning. Throughout the life of the terminal, it processed crude from four different fields in the UK Central North Sea before production ceased in 2015.
