The Power of Siberia gas pipeline lies at the heart of Gazprom's Eastern Gas Programme. The programme is an integrated gas production, transportation and supply system in East Siberia and the Russian Far East by predominantly targeting gas exports to China. The pipeline receives gas from the giant Chayandinskoye and Kovyktinskoye fields in East Siberia.In May 2014, Gazprom and CNPC agreed on a US$400 billion deal to supply gas to China for 30 years.
